And there is an important lesson to be learned from the health industry lobby. They just did not say they want CIR or skil and then went back when both cir and skil failed. They started chipping away at individual items like 50000 visas for Schedule A last year and 90000 this year from unused\recaptured visas. We should also be asking for our individual line item, 485 measure. This is how a war is won, one battle at a time. It is unrealistic to have an "all or nothing" attitude that people opposing 485 measure have. If the health industry lobby had such "all or nothing" attitude they would not have got the 50000 visas last year nor would they have been trying to get the 90000 this year. Hope we learn from them.

First off, I don't appreciate your sarcasm @ 2 cents leading to a dollar. Secondly if your leader is going to scream at people who are not attending the meetings, this is only going to drive people away from IV. Unfortunately, as someone who has learnt it the hard way, using aggressive language (especially language which is a negative judgement on people's nature) does not get the work done at the end of the day. I really don't think an attorney will give out their client information. They might even face a law suite for doing that. How would you feel if you found out that your attorney gave out your personal info?? :confused:

These words have stopped some people from attending the rally, maybe you should not use them more than million times.
I say it, others just do not say it. I have openly criticized Murthy and even Khanna in my old posts - but now I have my highest respect from them, Murthy cheered the crowd like anything and priased all the grassroots efforts.
If people cannot get motivated - it is their EGO and SELF PRIDE that stops them.
Once again - everyone feels it - I say it. I once openly critized immigration lawyers for their ways of handing things which is very obvious on Rajiv Khanna's forums, some people tried to attack me saying that I am not giving the right message but the other members said "We have it in our minds and you have openly expressed it"

IV is a voluntary organisation. You can request people to volunteer, but cannot force them or scold them for not volunteering. This is not professional. They might have their reasons and the right to work their way. I agree with your frustration when people who signed to turn up do not show up. But I feel this is not the way to express it.

I don't see any harm in coughing up 5k for the information which would help us all.

i-140 has been previoulsy approved. I was laid off but my original employer agreed to give me evl, but with the way the economy is going they are not doing well.
I have another employer which I am working now with.
How likely is to get an approval (or an rfe for paystubs?) before 180 days.

Is fragomen filing EAD & AP on time?
I have been following up with them to file my EAD renewal since 10 days and today I received a response that they are busy with audit and will do as soon as they can, I don't want my ead application to be delayed, its already more than a week I was eligible to file EAD renewal.
anyone else having problem filing EAD & AP in time with fragomen, pls share.

I've seen anyone with little education can do their jobs. If anyone is suffering b'coz of EB3 i think they should consider different profession and be happy.

My attorney called them and requested the copy of Denial notice as well as asked them for faxing it.
Still not received anything.
Not sure what to do except waiting.

In many cases the question is NOT about qualification of the applicant but the policy of the company -- lump all in EB3 so that the employee stick to company endlessly. If you think porting is unfair, Citizens and LPRs think H1B and entire EB GC process is unfair ...

So you reminiscing about your uncle and aunt(when H-1B never existed), and now talking about "masses" makes no sense. So don't make a U-turn on your chosen path.Now quota has reduced and hence the struggle for H-1B visas.
And who is talking about H-1B visas here, yes they are a privilege and not a right. iv is meant for people who have been sidelined due to unfair laws governing issual of GC's.It doesn't have anything to do with H-1B visa program and desi comapanies who misuse it.

Thank you H4 for all your efforts. I had +1 today. Got busy doing the easy work of putting those letters into envelopes and taking copies. I could do this all day, if only TX members would mail me those letters!!
