Please I need advice. I am currently preparing to file I-140/I-485 concurrent application and do not want to include the names of my children who are US citizens on the application. This is because I do not want the name of their mom to come up since I don't want to add her name too to the application. Although we got married outside the US, and I mistakenly wrote that with her name on my B1/B2 application I still will want to file this application as single. She has some issues to clear with USCIS and I do not want to complicate matters by adding her name to my application. I truly will appreciate your advice on this matter before I submit my application. Thank you

I have added my wife to green card application. Can you please let me know when she can expect receipt notice and Fingerprint Notice and when she can expect her GC. TSC is processing my/her application. My Priority Date is in Aug 1st 2006.
I am one of the ones who had missed the July 07 boat. My PD is finally current.
My attorney is getting ready to file all the items (485, EAD, AP etc) tomorrow.
How soon can I expect the FP Notice?
Also, since I am applying only now, how long before I can hope to see Green?

Here's another article discussing the embarrassment that is CNN's Lou Dobbs Tonight. I don't need to elaborate on that, but the more interesting part of this article is a discussion of why CNN is so reluctant to fire him. As pappu stated in the first post of the above referenced thread - some of the ongoing efforts include finding how many IV members would get benefit from such a provision and get basic details such as username/Priority Date of impacted members. Future action items might include drafting documents and letters to support this provision. There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.
The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. Based on quick calculations carried out using PERM data, it is estimated that there are at least 60K-70K EB applicants waiting to file I-485/EAD/AP (this is a very conservative estimate..the actual number could be much more). Grass-roots initiatives require time and patience and we request maximum number of impacted folks to participate actively.

Roll Call has an interesting analysis of this. Some Democrats believe that they have the votes and they can use immigration reform to brand their party as the true home for the country's Hispanic voters only if they leave the GOP out of the process. And most in the GOP will probably be fine with this except the small number that understand just how dangerous it is for the future of the GOP to be branded the anti-immigrant party.

Hi,
I graduated with Masters in Dec 2008. We have 29 month OPT. My OPT ends in June 2011.
So, I believe we have 3 chances for applying for H1
April 2009
April 2010
April 2011
I have not applied in 2009 and will not apply in 2010.
If I apply for April 2011, will I have any trouble, as my F1 ends in June 2011. I guess H1 starts in October. So, in between June and October , will I need to travel out of country . My University says, it will not be trouble. Please explain.

Hello All,
Below is a link I came across which is easy set up, formatted already for users to input their personal information and off it goes to the Congress to educate them about the importance of travel industry and meetings market. Is their anyway we can come up with something similar and easy to use so our users that do not get on the bandwagon at times just because of the extra work that goes in to it can also contribute?

In the early 1960s, President Eisenhower worked with the Catholic Church to airlift 14,000+ unaccompanied minors from Cuba to America in an effort called Operation Pedro Pan. In a similar effort, President Obama is working with the Catholic Church to possibly airlift thousands of orphans from Haiti and allow them to remain in the US in a humanitarian parole status. Obviously, this will be a huge challenge and it is always a difficult decision to remove children from their homeland, but the future for orphans in Haiti seems very grim.

I work for a big company. Each time when I move to a new project, my company ask me to file an LCA and H-1B amendment for new project location. It takes several month to get approval until then you have wait and face all travel restrictions.
I know that several smaller companies don�t file such amendments
