But then again - there are lot of rules that doesn't make sense. I feel that it is better to spend energy to get them amended..
if you could make a difference then take your pick from ....
a) ban EB3-Eb2 porting
b) or EB1 abuse
c) or eliminate country quota
d) or recapture the visa
e) or don't count dependents in EB category.
f) or abuse by body shop consutling firms
g) or Automatic GC or citizen after x years........
h) ..... list goes on..
.. if all could be done @ same time - it would be perfect..
The officials at DHS/USCIS read your message and all your wishes are granted.
but in reality your comment is not going to help.
We need money honey. Open your mind and wallet.:D

Hi,
Last time I paid $305 for renewing my AP. Do I again need to pay that much to renew or is the renewal free?
Thanks in advance!

what I meant is the following. There have been for years visas for skilled employees, one is called L-1 and is when a person is transferred by its company, the spouse can work. the other one is H-1B hired by a US company, the spouse cannot work. Then now, they are about to legalize people who had been living illegaly in USA doing low skilled jobs, they will give them a low skilled requirement job visa, exactly as the H-1B and the L-1 only that the skills are low, and they will let their spouses work also, the only spouses of non permanent resident aliens with a valid working visa unauthorized to work will be the H-4s, and it is not fair.

I would like to shout this issue from the rooftops since it would appear that nobody appreciates how awful this situation is. IV do not have aging out on their agenda, nobody does, only those affected by it. If the delays get long enough waiting for priority dates the horizon might change for many many more employment based people. Did not make video for youtube, to be honest do not know how to and am not sure I could make the message short and sweet since my emotions run away with me when I start talking about his issue.

... People in France speak in French even when they clearely see that the passanger does not understand French and has no clue to the happennings ....
.
That is the general norm of many countries and cultures except South Asia where people are so enslaved by English that now we have lost the ability to understand this basic norm of human culture. We are the only people (South Asians)on earth who take pride speaking in foreign languages particularly English and not speaking in our own languages. Europeans, Japaneses, Chinese, Americans, Canadians, Arab countries all take pride speaking in their own languages.

Dear XXXXX:
Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns regarding immigration policy. I appreciate hearing from you.
You are absolutely right that we need to tackle comprehensive immigration reform now. That is why I recently sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada, asking him to make comprehensive immigration reform a priority. It is imperative that we have a workable immigration system that balances the needs of our economy. We cannot keep pushing back reform for another day.
We must be tough and smart to get our immigration system under control. It is unacceptable to have 12 million people in our country living outside the legal system. We must secure the border, and also require the undocumented to register and become legal, pay a fine, pay their taxes, learn English, and pass criminal background checks. Those who have a serious criminal record should be sent back to the country from which they came.
I support comprehensive immigration reform because it will restore common sense and control to our immigration system, so that we are once again both a nation of immigrants and laws. Without reform, cash-strapped local governments are footing the bill for federal inaction and small businesses are reliant on an immigrant workforce face uncertainty. Comprehensive immigration reform will help the economy by turning undocumented workers into legal taxpayers who are paying their fair share. This issue must be addressed in order to make sure that we have a system in place that cracks down on employers who hire illegal immigrants and ensures all are playing by the rules.
Our immigration system is broken, and it cannot be fixed by one small piece of reform. We should address immigration as a whole, and that is a primary goal of mine here in the Senate.
I will continue to represent the priorities of Coloradans and all Americans in a thoughtful and independent manner. Please know that I will keep your concerns in mind as Congress addresses these issues.
For more information about my priorities as a U.S. Senator and about issues of importance to Colorado and our nation, I invite you to visit my website at Michael Bennet - United States Senator for Colorado : Home (http://bennet.senate.gov/). Again, thank you for contacting me.

Here we go again!
It can be shown that per country quota leads to (unintended) discrimation at employment and hence the GC per country quota is illegal.
Employment based GC per country quota => A very long wait (eg. more than 3 years) in same or similar job position for people born in only few countries => Hinderance to career growth because one cannot advance from engineer to managerial position even though he/she is qualified for the promotions while his colleagues from other countries can => Person from an oversubscribed countries such as India does not have equal opportunity to career advancement because of a very long wait time difference between people born in these 2 or 3 countries and people from all of the other countries.
Key Point: Equal opportunity employement advancement is protected by "Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII)" and hence the Supreme Court can overturn the per country quota limitation if the Supreme Court finds that the per country quota leads to discrimination at employment.
National Origin Discrimination & Work Situations:
The law forbids discrimination when it comes to any aspect of employment, including hiring, firing, pay, job assignments, promotions, layoff, training, fringe benefits, and any other term or condition of employment.
National Origin Discrimination (http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/types/nationalorigin.cfm)
Someone with more than 3 years of wait and still in same or similar job description should definitely be able to file a lawsuit against the US Government and claim compensation for the lost opportunities.

Hey guys
Just received email from CRIS regarding I-485 denial notice for both me and my wife.
I used AC21 after 9 months of filing I-485. My I-140 was approved before even filing I-485 in July fiasco.
My attorney promptly sent AC-21 and G-28 and i did see LUD on my and my wife's I-485 after that.
My previous company informed me sometime ago that they are going to revoke I-140 and probably they did and i am assuming that's what triggered this.
This is certainly a big damm mistake they did even after sending AC-21 docs and G-28.
sorry to hear about your new issue. Your case can be easily fought back, cheer up. My case was AC 21 and fortunately my I 485 was approved last month without any RFE, but before approval I spoke to NSC customer service and got hold off a very good guy , who happened to be very helpful, he mentioned that the letter requesting to port the employer or change of attorney need to be addressed to appropriate division, failure to do will cause all these problems, since it take time for the USCIS to route the letter to correct division and most likely getting lost. The only solution to address this kind of problem is to bring the much needed regulation to AC 21 , a formal application process where we can track the progress.
Cheer up, good luck
regards
kris

I called USCIS and the representative said that, the normal turn around time for receipts is 15 days. And if we dont recieve the receipt by then, the employer can call and ask for the receipt #.
I think with the receipt number, we should be good to go.

Hi all,
This discussion is very valuble for people like me deciding between living in Canada as PR vs H1B USA .We all know that salaries in USA are slightly better than Canada .But now the exchange rate is almost equal.
Salary:
Can a person with family(2 kids) survive in Canada with CAD 50,000 / year salary in a place like Toronto.? I heard in Canada you pay 13 % tax on anything you buy .Does 50 % of your income goes in taxes ?
HealthCare:
Also is the government sponsored health care good compared to USA .I mean do you have any wait to see specialists. Is healthcare comparable to USA .
Immigration:
In USA anyone can get a Greencard regardless of their qualifications and it depends how early you enter the GC queue. But looks like in Canada they value your educations and other qualifications. Can IT professionals (non-managers) apply for Canada PR without a job or canadian education?
Canadian Citizenship:
Many people want to get Canadian citizenship and return to USA with TN Visa .In future ,could USA put restrictions on this .?
Please share your thoughts .
Thankyou
Bharat,
