LCA for people who work from home
I work from home and one week a month i go to my consulting company office
I live in Texas and company is in NJ .
my question is should the lca be filed from nj where the company is
or should it be filed from Tx where I live and work from home

Job starts August 2011 (cannot work remotely and not more than 1 month leave)
Name starts with a common Muslim name 'M-'
Parents frequently come to the US but I may need to travel to Pakistan for emergencies or perhaps to get married. Should I go to Pakistan or Canada for H-1b stamping or is too risky with the lengthy administrative processing (221-g)?

The Government Accountability Office has released a new report studying the accuracy of the E-Verify database. According to the report, the number of tentative non-confirmations has decreased by 5% over the last two years, an indicator that the system has more complete records than in the past. max, the problem is there is no clear cut definition of how an IO is supposed to respond to the scenarios you mentioned.
but i suggest that you search IV archives as this subject has been discussed in-depth before. i remember 1 or 2 ppl posting their AC21 and subsequent GC approval experience via self-employment/ LLC registration.

I think you should be ok as long as the I-140 isn't revoked. Green card is for future job and so you dont need to be currently working for them.

My wife works for a University on her CPT. The University received a prevailing wage for her for her H-1B from the state agency on December 31, 2009 and it is still valid.
1. So when the University files for the LCA, can they use the prevailing wage from the state agency or do they have to use I-CERT for prevailing wage (ETA Form 9141)? Can the University use any other source for prevailing wage?
2. How long it is taking now to get the LCA certified?

If you are having the valid visa, there is no need to go for stamping again. While entering you can show the H1B approval so that you get the I94 till the date on the H1b approval.

Hello:
I'm Canadian who've worked in US for the same employer under L1 Blanket for almost 3 years, my current L1B will expire at July 2011. I heard a lot of L1 extension get rejected recently, I wonder if I can have a fresh L1B petition (I-129) with another 2 year, then go to US-Canada border and turn around with the fresh L1B petition, so I can stay in US for anther 2 years.
My only concern is that, do I qualify the '1 year working at foreign branch within 3 years prior to admission to US' requirement? considering I've been in US almost 3 years already.
