Here is my situation wrt to I 140 and EAD.
1. I am on 6th year of H1 this year and my H1 expires on 30 Sept 2010. I have to apply for H1 extn this year.
2. My employer started GC process (EB3) in 2006 on substitute labor of Aug 2005. He applied I 140 in April 2007.
3. He applied EAD when they are current during June, July 2007 based on substitute labor. I and my wife got EAD eventhough my I 140 is pending.
4. As old I 140 is pending he applied another I 140 with different EB3 labor for me in 2008 and both new labor and I 140 got apporved. He ported my A# of EAD card to this new I 140 showing as beneficiay on it.
5. My old I 140 is still pending and USCIS didnt send any query on that till date. My employer is confident on getting approval of old I 140.
Here are the questions I have:
Can I work on EAD by taking full time jobs by applying AC 21? Does it safe to work on EAD?
If my old I 140 gets any problem what are consequences with my GC process?
Can anybody answer, Please.
Thanks

The annual Consumer Electronics Show kicks off this week in Las Vegas. This is the gadget wonderland I've attended for the last several years. Due to my father's illness, I decided to skip this year's show. But I'm avidly watching online for announcements of the year's best new innovations. The show is put on by the Consumer Electronics Association and they've recently launched "The Innovation Movement" which seeks to encourage public policies that foster innovation and promote prosperity. The movement embraces a lot of issues and I'm pleased to see liberalizing immigration policies in the technology sector among the issues...

IF I COMPLETE MY M.S. IN 1 YEAR AT A U.S. UNIVERSITY
AND THEN IF FILE A H-1B THROUGH A CONSULTANCY
WILL COMPLETION OF MY M.S. IN 1 YEAR BECOME A PROBLEM FOR GETTING A H-1B IN THE MASTERS (M.S.) QUOTA OF 20,000?
BCOZ SOME OF MY FRIENDS TOLD ME THAT IT IS NOT GUD TO COMPLETE M.S. WITHIN 1 YEAR OR IN EXACTLY 1 YEAR, LATER IT BECOMES A PROBLEM FOR GETTING A H-1B THROUGH M.S. QUOTA.( THEY SAID THEN I WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH GENERAL 65,000 QUOTA AND WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR 20,000 M.S. QUOTA, if m.s. is completed in 1 year)
IS IT TRUE, IS THERE ANY SUCH IMIGRATION RULE DURING H-1B FILING
please clear my doubt as soon as possible

Tam Ngoc Tran died on May 16th in a car accident. She was a doctoral student in American Civilization at Brown University. I had a brief encounter with this intelligent and lovely young lady in 2006 when I visited UCLA to assist foreign-born students in finding solutions to their immigration problems. Each of the students told me his or her story. Most shared the following themes: They were born in other countries and brought to the U.S. as toddlers. They grew up believing that they were born in the U.S. and that if they studied hard and got good grades,...

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has sent a letter to the President asking him to terminate the controversial 287(g) program that allows local police to enforce immigration laws on behalf of the Department of Homeland Security. The CHC expressed its concerns about allegations of serious civil rights violations against Hispanics as well as recent reports of poor oversight in the program. The National Council of La Raza, the country's largest Latino civil rights organization praised the letter.

Hi,
I have my interview on March9th at Islamabad US Embassy and got a white sheet that my visa has been approved but needs further administratice processing. I have been calling PK Us Embassy and DOS every other week to check the status and got tjhe same response that it is in 'Pending'.
Just today i called in the afternoon PK US Embassy and a guy told me that my AP is in final stage and also asked me if i have my docs and PP with me or is it with us (the embassy) ?. I told him that it is with you guys and then he told me that you should be getting your docs and PP next week or early the week after. I joked with him to see if he was just making my day and he laughed and said no Sir you should be getting it next week. So at night i called DOS just to verify what is going on and DOS stated that my status is still pending.
Now i am confused as to whose telling the truth and whose telling the lie. It has been 65 days for me since the date of my interview. Anyone else experience this before ?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

When I was growing up, Canadian-born Rich Little was about the only impressionist I could name. Come to think of it, he's still one of the only people most people can name in this niche area of comedy. Sure, Saturday Night Live has had great comedians over the years who have done great impressions (Dana Carvey is probably my favorite), but they're not primarily known as impressionists. At 71, Little has just become a naturalized US citizen. When asked what the first thing he was going to do when he was an American, he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal "Collect...

Dallas-Fort Worth Immigration Lawyer Has Just Posted the Following:
Beginning March 1, 2010, Mexico will require U.S. citizens to have valid passports when traveling to Mexico. Legal residents of the U.S. must have their green cards or other documents demonstrating legal status in the U.S.
This new rule by Mexican authorities shouldn't change travel habits, because it has been the law in the U.S. since June 2009 that U.S. travelers returning to this country from Mexico must show their passports.
